The battery is a truly flexible power system providing compatibility with a full range of Bosch 18V Li-ion cordless tools. The GBA18V40 is engineered with 21700 cell technology, matching the power from the original two-layer 4.0 Ah battery with improved performance per cell. The Bosch-exclusive CoolPack 2.0 heat-management system results in 15% faster cooling and 135% longer life compared to previous non-Bosch CoolPack 18V batteries.
